A Story of Faith and Prayer
This is a story that was sent to me from Joann Jeffries in IL. I think this is a wonderful testimony of prayer. Pastor Bob
A couple of years ago, my father was told he had a “giant” aneurysm behind his right eye. And if that wasn’t bad enough he also had cluster of 9 smaller ones located on the back part of his brain. The doctors told him they could ONLY do exploratory surgery, to see if they could TRY to fix it. We have always been really close, my two brothers and one sister and of course mom and dad. Family comes first dad always says, so that is what we live by. The day came for dads surgery. I think he broke the record of family members in the waiting room not, only was my family (5) and my sisters (5 of them) and her ex-husband, my two brothers and their families (5 and 2). My Dad’s brothers and their families came from different states, to many to count…. well let’s just say a lot ,we filled up the waiting area! We all prayed so very hard in the days before the surgery, but nothing like the day when we were in the waiting area.
The doctor said the surgery was to take 10-14 hours, and the surgery was just to see if they could do something in the future to try to fix all that was going wrong in his head. That was the longest 8 hours in my life! The doctor came out to talk to us, as we all stood there hanging on his every word. He began ” The aneurysm was huge, one of the biggest he ever seen, I have to start by saying God did this surgery not me. We clipped the aneurysm and drained the blood and he is doing fine.”
God had lead the hands of that fine doctor and fixed what should have killed him, and he did it in less time than expected. “Even if he makes it threw the surgery he may suffer a stoke, or go blind, or loose his abilities to walk and talk and so forth.” “You can go in for a few minutes but, he needs his rest”. So they led us back to see my dad all 30 -35 of us. Dad looked bad to me, he his was all bandage up, and he couldn’t get out any words, the doctor said that was all normal. He also said that it would be at least two weeks before he could go home and he would probably have to learn things all over again. Threw the Grace of GOD my father WALKED out of that hospital and came home ONE week later.
Today my father is still doing great, he went threw chemotherapy for the cluster of 9 he had in the back of his head. He is healthy and did not suffer a stoke, he has lost some vision in his eye, but that is a small price to pay considering how many things could have and should gone wrong. PRAISE BE TO GOD ! FOR ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH HIM. My father is living proof of that!

My Pastor’s wife some years ago before I came to be in their church with my new husband had be diagnosed with a mass to the back of her right ear Charlie and Debbie prayed with the deepest of faith and when she went in for surgery the Dr.s came out and told Pastor Charlie that they could see where the mass had been and that it was gone but in the process of getting to where it had been located they destroyed her middle ear and that she would never hear from that side again. 2 yrs later she called him on his cell phone and told him to guess which ear she was talking to him from it was that ear that had been damaged due to the surgery. Talk about the power of faith and healing being made evident. I am not one that has to be told of the things God does, he has shown me in many little ways his evidence. There were many times over the years that my life should have been taken but God said it wasn’t time. But GOD that is the only “but” one should ever use because everything that happens is in GOD’s hands even when we stray from his path.
Praise and Blessings to ALL and remember to have the faith of a child
to JUST BELIEVE be blind in your faith
