HIS GPS system Part 2
In the last message we ended talking about the four issues that Moses had to deal with and settle.
Today, we are going to start the discussion of the four foundations that are part of the second step in the video 5 Steps For Success CLICK TO VIEW
In the video 5 Steps For Success, I spoke about are relationship with God as the most important and the first step to have any type of success in your life. In the second step, I talk about the relationship with your body and how eating healthy and exercising is important; regarding the only thing that God has given us 100% authority over. We will take that step a little further. I have broken that down into the Four Foundations of You.
1. Discover what God made you to be.
When we look at Moses, he had what many of us go through, an identity crises. He had to decide if he was Jewish or an Egyptian, was he going to be a slave or royalty. As in many of the decisions we make, this decision would effect the rest of his life. If he chose to remain as the Grandson of the Pharaoh, he would have money, fame and live the life of luxury and possibly be the heir to the throne. If Moses decided to be Jewish, he would be a slave, and an outcast among those slaves. He would endure hardship and humility. In your life today, what would you choose? This is not an easy choice. I know in my life, I gave up a big house, being an owner of a multimillion dollar company and all the “Toys”, privileges and money that came with it. But I knew God had a plan for my life and he would take care of my needs. Did I really need that big house anyway? Right now my family of four lives in our two bedroom condo (Although my wife and I are taking on the project of adding a third bedroom! So if anyone has any construction tips let me know!)
You see for years, I denied doing what God had intended me to do and although I was comfortable as far as my monetary concerns go, I was truly not happy. Have you denied doing what God has called you to do? Are you living your life with integrity? Moses refused to live a lie because he was a man of character. Read Hebrews 11:24
In that verse, look at the word refused. That word in the Greek is Eerneésato which means disavow, reject, and refuse. I know that these times are difficult and it is often hard to refuse something that we do not earn. But in refusing these things, our God will reward you beyond what you thought possible. Think about how many people look for riches by gambling. Have you ever purchased a lottery ticket? I remember doing a sermon at church regarding lottery winners. In my research, I did not find one instance of one single lottery winner turning their fortune into a great empire let alone a strong business. Yet, I found over a dozen instances of lottery winners ending up bankrupt. You see God does not want us to gamble HIS money. He expects us to increase what He gives us and not go into debt. Read the story of the master and three slaves in Matthew chapter 25 and read Proverbs 10:4. Don’t worry, we will have some web seminars to help with your finances. Remember, even if you have failed and sinned in the past regarding how you handle God’s money, he will forgive you and give you a second and third chance and more.
Moses insisted on being what God had intended him to be and no one could convince him otherwise. So what does this mean for you and me? Well to start with, God made you to be you and only you. So one of the greatest secrets to success is to simply be you – quit trying to be somebody else! Stop trying to conform to this world. Be yourself and don’t try to look like everyone else, eat like everyone else, drink like everyone else, gamble like everyone else, talk like everyone else, buy the same things as everyone else. Just BE YOURSELF. Discover today what God made you to be. In the next message we will continue with the following:
2. Accept Responsibility for your own life
3. Establish Your Value System
4. NEVER take your eyes off the Goal

PS
For those reading this who are not Christians or not sure of their faith. Say this little prayer, right now out loud; Dear Heavenly Father, I know I am a sinner and am not worthy in your eyes. I accept your Son Jesus Christ as my personal savior and I ask that you take control of my life. Amen. If you have just said that prayer, I want you to send me an email at NewtoChrist@ChristianLivingMinistry.org and I will send you a little eBook to help with your Bible Study
